This morning I attended the Gold Coasts biggest tree planting day at Robina. It was so amazing to see so many people turn up to the event even though it was a rainy day. Together we planted 10,000 trees for the local wildlife. I was honoured to be asked to speak at the event about the importance of trees and how everyday people can make a difference. It was also great to hear Councillor Hermann Vorster and Steven Miles (Queensland's environment minister) speak. In the half way break and at the end of the planting Wildcall put on a great wildlife show with all kinds of creatures including bats, snakes, lizards and turtles. I encourage each and every one of you reading this blog to become involved in next years event and other local tree planting days that are put on my NaturallyGC.
