Two new species of Jumping Peacock Spiders have been discovered in South East Queensland (in Wandul Range National Park 120km west from Toowoomba) in Australia by a research student from California.
One of them was given the nick name Sparklemuffen (the photo above). Its scientific name is Maratus Jactatus. This one has blue and reddish stripes on its abdomen.
The other ones nick name is Skeletorus which has white markings with a black background that looks like a skeleton.
Peacock Spiders get their name from their bright colours and their mating dance.
